Invitation to participate in a research study

SWOV Institute for Road Safety Research and the TU Delft are looking for participants to take part in a research study that focuses on the usability of an information system for automated vehicles: Virtual Reality Evaluation of an Information System in Automated Vehicles.

What does the study entail?
In this study, you will be shown the information system of an autonomous vehicle with the use of a virtual reality headset. While viewing the information in the virtual world, you will be asked to describe your experience and thoughts out loud. Afterwards, you will fill in a questionnaire and respond to a short interview.

How long does the research take?
This study will take approximately 70 minutes. This research will take place at the SWOV Institute for Road Safety Research in The Hague, on Thursday 7th October.

Who are we looking for?
You are 18 years old or older.
You have a valid driver’s license.
You have a good command of the English language.
You do NOT have a history of epilepsy.
You are NOT susceptible to motion sickness.

What do you get from us?
For participating in this study you will receive a gift voucher (VVV-cadeaubon) of 25 euro.

What happens to your data?
Your personal data will only be used to contact you during the study and will be removed from our files afterwards (unless you explicitly state that you wish to be contacted for other studies). The data obtained from this study are processed completely anonymously. As a result, it is not possible to determine from the reported results who participated in the study. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is applicable to the management of your data.
